M7 task

For the last task, I decided to do the "awe walk" I chose this task for many different reasons. I did this mainly because recently my anxiety has been really bad, and i thought this would be a great time to be one with myself, and this assignment really helped me. I went for a walk 3 different times within the pas week at ACU. I decided to go when it was dark because im more of a night owl, and I thought this would be the best for me. Through this time, I was instructed to turn off my phone, and not woes about any outside things going on. I took this time to not worry about stupid things, and just relax. The first walk I went on I was slightly annoyed, because I didn't have my phone. It was the day after my first anxiety attack, so that was why I chose to do this, just to calm everything down. I walked the trail at ACU, which is 2 miles. The whole time I was thinking about how Im about to leave Abilene for 3 months to go back home, and I was thinking about how I needed ...

This task is over mental illness. I chose to interview people who have lived with mental illness and how it has effected their life. For this assignment I decided to talk about depression and substance abuse. I decided to interview two different people on depression. One of these people is my coach. Her testimony is amazing, but prior to Jesus she had it rough. She went through an event in her life that was terrible and she was in a very dark place because of that. Coach Naudin told me a little about what it was like to live with depression and how it effected her everyday life. Coach Naudin told me how one minute she would be fine, she would feel normal, but the next she would be so sad that she felt as if she couldn't even get out of bed. Coach Naudin and I I also interviewed one of my friends on the softball team. She is one of the kindest people you'll ever meet, however she has struggled with depression almost her whole life. She explained to me some issues she had g...

The first thing that comes to mind when I hear the word "multiculturalism" is one of my very best friends from back home, Regine. Regine and I Although Regine lives a blessed life, it has always been different for her, especially growing up in a town called "White Settlement" Rey comes from a family where her mothers side is Hispanic and her fathers side is African American. Rey has always had it a little different wether any of us realized it or not. Rey's father is a UPS driver and I knew that she was always worried about him while he was at work, not just for the normal reasons of driving around the US in a 18 wheeler, but because of everything that was happening in the world. Things like this have impacted me, and my relationship with Rey's family. Regine and her family are some of the most kind hearted, loving, funny and caring people i have ever met in my life. They are like a second family to my family and I. After all of the vacations a...
